Take a deep breath and center yourself by sitting on the floor. Imagine the clean earth energy filling you with calmness. When you are ready, close your eyes. Sunset is almost sunk as you walk quietly in the forest. You feel a nip in the air. Far off in the distance, you can see snow coming. A particularly bright patch of green light emanates from a half-mile away from you. Once you make it there, a man waves you over. He is sitting down in front of a table made out of branches and twigs. There is a banquet before him: lush apples, juicy strawberries, bright blueberries, fresh-baked bread, dainty chocolates, a variety of cheeses and a brown pitcher of wine. What else do you see there? He is petting a large wolf who sits by his right side. The man is barefoot, dressed in simple wool pants and a shirt in pale green. He is adorned only with a small pentacle in his left ear. He smiles and his deep brown eyes sparkle at you. How does the King look to you? Someone you know?

“King of Pentacles,” you whisper, giving him proper respect.

The King gives a hearty laugh. “No need for ceremony here, come have a sit.” He points to a chair at his side. You take a seat. A goblet appears and he pours some wine for you. How does it taste? Or perhaps it’s not wine, some other drink?

“Winter is here, do you not feel it? I so enjoy the wintertime. It is a time to plan and rest. We all must do so to create our own kingdoms, wouldn’t you say?”

He smiles at you, then looks you in the eye. “Manifest, Make and Multiply. That is my own personal chant for success.” He gives you a friendly wink. “Come. There is food and drink. We can wait for the snow to come.”

You may talk with him as long as you like. When you are done, the King gives you a warm hug. He tells his wolf companion to guide you back out. The wolf takes you to the edge of the forest where snow has already fallen, and you walk back into your reality.

How was your meeting with the King of Pentacles? You can always return back to see him at any time. Reflect and record your experience in your Tarot Journal.
