Temperance (9 of Wands)
Balance has certainly become a buzzword, although its meaning is often ambiguous. The misunderstanding of this ancient concept is caused by the dualism of the mind. Balance doesn’t mean a little of this and a little of that, nor is it avoidance of conflict. It’s more closely related to the concept of cooking and the blending of different ingredients – experiences, opinions, thoughts, feelings and conflicts – to create a new recipe for living. Let your guard down and participate in this great experiment called life. Temper your feelings of resentment with compassion, fear with trust, apathy with curiosity, and idealism with practicality.

Taurus
Tower (2 of Wands)
You’re in the process of deconstruction and there’s still some rubble to salvage. Whatever fell apart or didn’t turn out as planned last month has left some unexpected options to work with. Don’t dismay over a loss or you’ll miss out on what’s left. There’s room for you to build a more viable foundation. You’ll find that when you’re least expecting it, someone with a similar vision will surface. This is a prime time for sharing resources, so be practical about what you want and stay open to receiving it.

Gemini
Star (Page of Swords)
If wishes were wings, you could fly above your problems until they were merely specks of dust. This is possible when you develop self-confidence. The commentary in your head can be relentless, pointing out pitfalls before they even exist. The mind, like a child, will taunt you until you react out of anger or recoil out of fear. Don’t believe everything you hear – especially the ranting in your head! A seemingly hopeless situation turns out to have a dim light at the end of the tunnel. Keep your faith strong and focus on the solution, not the problem.

Emperor (5 of Pentacles)
Stability is often mistaken for control. Stability is confidently knowing that in any circumstance, you will remain secure in your own right and that nothing can take that away from you. Like any good leader knows: it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when. This is one of those times. You will be challenged in an area that relates to your security and, although the results could be dismal, this too will pass. Fathers and bosses could be implicated in this quandary as they play a part in lessons of authority.

Wheel of Fortune (8 of Wands)
Changes on the horizon promise an exciting time ahead. Travel is possible around the end of the month. Business ventures started in the past year finally begin to show favorable outcomes. Don’t be too hasty though, or you might turn an opportunity into a struggle – it’s all about timing right now. You may need to consolidate some of your current projects to free up the space needed for these changes. Life has a peculiar way of giving just what is needed, so don’t swim against the current – just let it flow.

Virgo
Justice (3 of Pentacles)
Juggling too many projects can lead to sloppy errors, as can working without proper guidelines. Your work may be judged this month as being less than acceptable. Before getting pulled in different directions, it would be wise to finish what you’ve started. If you don’t, you might not be able to handle the consequences. Be cautious of learning institutions, certifications, and business logistics, and do appropriate background checks before investing time and money. This is also a good time to consolidate records and receipts. Don’t take any shortcuts with rules and regulations – Big Brother is watching!

Libra
Chariot (Knight of Swords)
Get ready for a turbulent ride this month as challenges seem to lurk around every corner. No matter what happens, you are ultimately responsible for your actions. Composure will lead to clarity; do not be driven into further trouble by reacting impulsively. The winds of change will likely blow many of your current plans into disarray. Don’t give up – simply take a breath and find an alternate path; you’ll discover options that actually benefit you. Be mindful of your of words, especially when provoked, or you’re likely to destroy a dear relationship. And, lastly, use extra caution while driving.

Scorpio
Moon (Knight of Pentacles)
This is an important time to slow down and rest, both physically and emotionally, or risk overwhelm. Weed out any unnecessary work from your routine and avoid taking on extra tasks or new projects. Simply stick to what you’re already doing. Don’t panic when money issues cause more anxiety than usual as fear only muddles your mind and inhibits problem solving. Although an unexpected and costly annoyance will arise, it’s only momentary. Even if it’s not technically your problem, you’ll be responsible for making amends. Be cautious about what you put on the back burner.

Sagittarius
Devil (7 of Swords)
It has been said that mistakes are the portals of discovery. However, when you become attached to or avoidant of these mistakes, you lose opportunities for growth or, even worse, denial sets in. There may be some severe challenges this month that require careful clean-up. Something that was recently overlooked may cause you unexpected consequences. Be sure to confront it right away because the results could benefit you in ways you never imagined. Be aware that ANY dishonest activity will cause a cascade of negative effects, so be true to yourself no matter how hard it is.

Capricorn
Lovers (Queen of Cups)
A deeply emotional experience connects you to past memories in a way that is irrational and mysterious. You may think you are in control of your choices, but when you look deeper you’ll realize that most of your actions are motivated by subconscious feelings. Take inventory of your current relationships, home life, work, spiritual practice, health and finances. Notice how these areas relate to your state of being. Usually a mixed-up inner world translates to a mixed-up outer world. To make conscious decisions is to be aware of the motivations behind them. Take a closer look.

Aquarius
Magician (Queen of Swords)
Life is what you make of it – so what are you making of it? When you’re willing to accept the responsibility that comes with actively creating your life, there’s less room for complaining and more motivation to take charge! You must be ready to turn problems into opportunities. Instead of dwelling on grievances, use your critical thinking to solve problems and take action. If you continue talking in circles about what’s bothering you, an altercation at the end of the month may knock you off your soapbox. Take responsibility for your own short comings before pointing the finger at someone else.

Pisces
High Priestess (9 of Pentacles)
Something is not as it appears, and although you think you see the whole situation, there’s more under the surface. Be patient and keep your hunches to yourself; the truth will be revealed in time. Even if you catch someone red handed, wait – they will tangle themselves in a web of deceit. You too will be caught if you are unscrupulous in your affairs. The 4th is a perfect day for magic, ceremonial or practical. Focus your intuition on an unresolved situation and you’ll receive a message. PS: this isn’t a good time for financial investments or big decisions.
