I am often asked, “What are your credentials?” A very good question to ask a card reader.

I respond, “I am certified by the Tarot Certification Board of America,” pointing to my CTC certificate above my table, next to my business license and tax certificate. “I have been reading professionally for twenty-five years and I guarantee my work.”

If they were meandering down the street, that stops them. Reading Tarot cards, palms and I Ching pays my rent, ride and bride. I have to have a working marketing plan or do without these things.

“You guarantee your work?”

“I do.”

“Do you mean that if in six months your predictions don’t come true, I can come get my money back?”

“No, I guarantee that with the cards I can accurately describe your present and past situations or the situations we choose to focus on. If I’m wrong, it’s free. The future is a prediction based on these past and present patterns.”

If I can get these words in their ears, they usually sit down. The hard part has been accomplished. I have been using this marketing technique six hours a day, six days a week for over ten years. I have been asked to return the money in less than ten out of around 30,000 readings, an extremely successful marketing strategy. It is an honest and practical marketing technique that works.

This is also my life’s philosophy. I live by it and expect others I associate with professionally to do the same. If you don’t believe in yourself and what you are doing enough to guarantee your work, I will find someone else who does.
