Imagine yourself walking through a waterfall. You feel the coolness of the water, but you are not getting wet. When you get to the other side, all your worries of the minutes before are out of your mind.

You are by the ocean’s shore. It is a dazzling mix of blues: aquamarine, cerulean, and turquoise. The sands are the color of warm chocolate chip cookies. The sun is beginning to explode in a dazzling array of colors with the sunset approaching. How do you feel being near the ocean? What is the smell in the air? Are you alone or are there other people or animals close by? How are you dressed?

You walk to the water’s edge, as if almost drawn to it. Can you feel it? Something is coming. You see the waves begin to ride up. It is coming fast and then a whoosh of water comes at you. You don’t flinch at all and your raise your hand to catch whatever it is. With a one-handed catch, you grab a beautiful ornate cup.

What color is it? How does it feel in your hand? What are you feeling from the Ace of Cups and/or from yourself? You happen to look up to see a dolphin jump up in the air. The dolphin and you catch eyes and she/he winks at you then dives back into the ocean. You smile to yourself. Watch the sunset fade in this place.

When you are ready, you throw back the Ace of Cups to the bountiful Ocean from where it came. You can always return and the Ace of Cups will come to you. You walk back to the waterfall and pass through it to return back to your reality. Take time out to write in your tarot journal about your journey with the Ace of Cups.
