The cards and initial comments for August

From The Star That Never Walks Around - Queen of Frogs
Stella Bennett writes of this card, "She replenishes the pond of sensitivity and intuition
from which our resources flow. Her message is: 'Be aware of your ability to attract and enchant those around you. Pleasure and success are coming.'"

From the Hallowquest (Arthurian) Tarot - Seven of Spears (Wands)
The journey of each of us is of paramount importance to this quest. One cannot contribute more than one has achieved in his path. Each of us has to work on his own alchemies ... the joint efforts will then be gathered together somehow.

As to the Seven of Spears, it is very hard to fight for one's hearth and home if one feels there is nobody and nothing home. Perhaps one has to rebuild the walls and only then can one start defending them. It is difficult to muster valor if meaning is lacking. The coldness of this card may point to just such a loss of meaning . A home has been lost and a new one may have to be built, on the ruins of the old.

Winter has to be shaken off at some point

From the Tiny Universal Waite Tarot deck - King of Swords
I know the laws of life
I see behind the veil
I govern with my intellect

I contain all my love
and I make it law
I make it life.

From The World Spirit Tarot - Sibyl of Pentacles
I am in harmony with Natures rhythms.

From the Russian Tarot of St. Petersburg - Eight of Cups
A conscious choice to leave some things behind, take a break, let go. Some Eight of Cups have a sad feeling to them, but this card shows a full moon shining down on the solitary hiker who, staff in hand, is walking confidently into the future. He is going beyond the ordinary and following his true destiny. Much as going on a vacation gives us a different perspective,
so taking a break from the daily routine can give us a new perspective.

From the Voyager Tarot - the Magician
August is the month of Magickal Rewards - rewards from taking a chance and giving of one's creativity. All the elements are laid out for us - air, water, fire, earth - waiting to be used to realize our wildest dreams.

"In this month of August, celebrate rewards that are harvested like grains, born from the elements and magickal dreams that are destined to be realized."

Sum Card
13 + 7 + 14 + 13 + 8 + 1 = 65; 6 + 5 = 11, Justice

August's Message
Time to replenish the pond of sensitivity and
intuition from which your resources flow.

Only by rebuilding the walls of the old ruined house,
can you, at last, start defending them.

Contain your love to make it law and life,

and always be in Harmony with Nature's rythms.

Go beyond the ordinary and follow your true destiny.

In this month of August, celebrate rewards that are
harvested like grains, born from the elements and
magickal dreams that are destined to be realized.

And a Poem
An imperceptible touch on your shoulder,
a song once beloved, now long forgotten,
reminded you of who you were
at times of purity
and who you always wanted to be.

There have been storms in your frontyard
and crying rain behind your eyes;
this winter somehow had to end.
These hands longed for a scope,
a house to build afresh, anew.

Your love has now taken a whole new shape.
'Love under will' or is it
'Love under true love'?
Acceptance, compliance, peace,
peace with fate, peace with your destiny...

And now you can, again, hear the birds
and see the sun, a luminous fire ball
rising from your own depths
emerging from the sea inside you
the sea that is all you...

And all is different, for you are new.
You left your old, worn out self behind
only to find him waiting for you, glowing again,
in the corner of your next dream.
How sad these days were, days with no dreams...

...days with no love, that now are gone.
Some magick wand has touched your shoulder
and now you see, with thankful eyes
and now you feel, with softer hands
no matter what, or how, or when

your soul has been granted
one step upwards the ladder
of benevolence.

Analysis

An imperceptible touch on your shoulder,
a song once beloved, now long forgotten,
reminded you of who you were
at times of purity
and who you always wanted to be.

The purity of the soul is constantly being attacked by our own mundane and fearful self. It is this self, who through words, gestures and thoughts attacks the divine essence we all hold within. A psychic shell is then formed. The more the attacks the harder the shell.

In order to gain access to our own purity, to be in touch with it, we first have to cleanse our words, gestures and thoughts. This will have to be our own work and nobody else's.

There have been storms in your front yard
and crying rain behind your eyes;
this winter somehow had to end.
These hands longed for a scope,
a house to build afresh, anew.

Life is full of storms, and rainbows and sunshine. All are part of the perfect whole. They should all be welcome, without fear. Fear is human, but acceptance is divine. After acceptance the new scope will rise.

Your love has now taken a whole new shape.
'Love under will' or is it
'Love under true love'?
Acceptance, compliance, peace,
peace with fate, peace with your destiny...

Completely trusting what lies ahead looks like the Fool's leap from the cliff. It causes a vertigo
feeling, at the beginning. But then the soul leaves all the unnecessary cargo behind. Doubts, ambiguity, stagnation vanish into thin air. Love knows no boundaries. Pain is a vital part of love. Pain has to be fully experienced to reveal its transformative power. Pain leads to higher spiritual love.

And now you can, again, hear the birds
and see the sun, a luminous fire ball
rising from your own depths
emerging from the sea inside you
the sea that is all you...

The sea inside hides the riches we have yet to explore. Gems the glow of which can set our hearts on fire, flowers the hues and the aroma of which can make our lives a minitature Garden of Eden.

And all is different, for you are new.
You left your old, worn out self behind
only to find him waiting for you, glowing again,
in the corner of your next dream.
How sad these days were, days with no dreams...

Walking on the reverse side of pain, dancing with its shadow, prolongs self-imprisonment behind invisible bars. Looking at pain right in the eyes, cutting away the sick parts of our reality, is the first conscious step towards liberation.

...days with no love, that now are gone.
Some magick wand has touched your shoulder
and now you see, with thankful eyes
and now you feel, with softer hands
no matter what, or how, or when

your soul has been granted
one step upwards the ladder
of benevolence.

Softness is the goal, benevolence is the ideal. Replacing self-pity with gratitude, idleness with
creativity, fear with action, criticism with tenderness can move mountains. Faith can move mountains and faith is oxygen in the flow of love.
