Sit down on your favorite chair or lie down. Take deep breaths until you feel at peace. When you are ready, we can begin.

Your feet crunch in the sparkling snow. It is the stars, and an owl hoots to keep you company. You walk on a well-worn path that leads to a lovely old church that has seen better days. The stone bricks are aged and the stained glass windows are broken in places. On the front it says “3”. You knock and call out a hello. No answer. You slowly open the unlocked door. It is dim at first, but as you walk further the place is illuminated by tall green candles lining the hallway.

“Welcome. There is always room for one more.”

A woman dressed in a pale green velvet dress and a matching ribbon headband walks up to you from the end of the hallway. She smiles and takes you by the hand to lead you further into this room. Who does she look like to you? Someone you know? Books, paintings, musical instruments, maps, pens and a myriad of other items are stuffed in bookcases up to the high ceiling and lie on tables scattered through out the room. There is a man standing at a long oak table in the center of the room, shaping something with his hands. His pants and tunic are a forest green shade. He is engrossed in what he is doing. He gives you a quick nod; still you notice the sparkle in his eyes. Does he look familiar to you?

The woman joins the man. They both have pentacles in the colors of gold and green, kneading them as if dough on the table. You notice the pentacles take shape into what? What are they creating?

Finally the man speaks. “Don’t be afraid, just let go and see.” You notice one pentacle remains on the table between them. This pentacle is for you. You take it in your hand and feel it vibrating. You look at it and let your hands feel what you want to make. You begin to shape the pentacle.

Stay as long as you want. The two craftspeople watch over your progress and speak with you, giving you help in your task. What advice do they give you? What have you created? When you are ready, you bid farewell to your two teachers. When you get to the front door, you will return back to your reality.

How was your journey with the Three of Pentacles? Think of how you can create something new and dear to your heart in your own life. Look to the teachers and advisors surrounding you who can aid you in your own creation. As always, record and reflect in your Tarot journal.
